Financial Analyst

Financial Analyst

Job Purpose: Performs 401(k) Plan Administration assignments based on Balance Forward platform.

Location: Hyderabad

Experience: 2-4 years

Shift Slot: Day Timings

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for operational tasks associated with Defined Contribution plans in compliance with plan provisions.
  • To assists in maintaining pension data, plan administration and contribution calculations.
  • Research Census records, identify missing information and draft required queries. 
  • Eligibility calculation.
  • To calculate plan contributions like Profit Sharing, Match contribution, Safe Harbor Match and Safe Harbor Non Elective.
  • Perform several compliance tests like – Non Discrimination, Top Heavy, Coverage tests, Gateway and General Tests, Compensation tests etc.
  • Trust Accounting and Reconciliation knowledge.
  • Loans and Distributions transactions postings.
  • Receivables identification and gain/loss calculation.
  • Form 5500 series preparation.

Operation Responsibilities:

  • Assists other team members in case of volume spikes to help in meeting team targets
  • Completes process by analysing and auditing documents, researching and resolving processing problems.
  • Provides information by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information; responding to queries.
  • Resolves escalations/issues by investigating and composing responses.
  • Maintains quality service by monitoring standards; advising supervisor of potential problems.
  • Prepares reports by collecting and analysing information.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
  • Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Required Qualifications: B.Com., M.Com., CA, ICWA, B.Sc./M.Sc. – Mathematics.

Operational knowledge of MS Office and excellent English communication skills are mandatory.

Required Experience:  Two years of relevant experience on end-to-end Defined Contribution/401(k) Plan processing on Balance Forward platform.

Senior Financial Analysts – SME

Senior Financial Analyst - SME

Job Purpose: Performs quality check and reviews of the projects processed by subordinates on the set protocols and always adhere to quality standard.

Location: Hyderabad

Experience: 3-6 years

Shift Slot: Day Timings

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Understanding and interpretation of Plan document and Adoption Agreement.
  • Strong understanding of ERISA and IRCs.
  • Quality control and in-depth Reviews of Defined Contribution Plan Administration related assignments/tasks.
  • Ensure Eligibility and Contribution calculation are computed as per Plan provisions.
  • Review Contribution like Profit Sharing, Match contribution, Safe Harbor Match and Safe Harbor Non Elective.
  • Ensuring several compliance tests like – Non Discrimination, Top Heavy, Coverage tests, Gateway and General Tests, Compensation tests etc. – are computed in adherence to Plan provisions.
  • Reviews of Trust Accounting, Loans and Distribution postings.
  • Receivables identification.
  • Earnings Allocations.
  • Review of Form 5500 & it’s related schedules.

Operation Responsibilities:

  • Assists other team members in case of volume spikes to help in meeting team targets.
  • Assisting subordinates and ensuring they have clear understanding about the assignments.
  • Technical training and coaching to subordinates.
  • Analysing and auditing documents, researching and resolving processing problems.

  • Maintains quality service by monitoring standards; advising/solving potential problems.
  • Prepares reports by collecting and analysing information.

Required Experience: Overall 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in DC/401(k) Plan processing and 1 to 2 years of quality checks and reviews. So, overall 4-5 years of industry experience.
